Because Our Veterans Deserve Better.
Every Step Toward Helping Homeless and Disabled Vets Feel More Empowered, Adds to the Compound Effect Toward a Better Life.
Who We Are
The Veteran Van Project is a (501c3 applied for) non-profit founded by John Menke in 2020.
On a recent visit to the US Vets housing facility in Moreno Valley, John discovered that they had a pressing need for a new transportation van to shuttle their Veterans to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other necessary trips. However, most of their current funding was dedicated to building new facilities.
John decided that the best way to help would be to start a charity dedicated to procuring transportation vehicles for Veteran Service Organizations. Thus the “Veteran Van Project, Inc.” was created.
For most home sales from a referral, John will donate 10% of his net commission to this non-profit. The more referrals we receive, the more vans we can purchase for the various organizations. Visit https://menke.re for more information on buying or selling a home with us.

What We Do
01.
— We Find & Fund
We find Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs) in need of transportation. Then, we locate acceptable vehicles for them, purchase those vehicles, and transfer ownership to the VSO. Simple as that. No unnecessary overhead… no political wrangling… just providing help where it’s needed most.
02.
— We Build Networks
We also look for ways to provide value to our outside sponsors. Sometimes it may be as simple as helping make connections.
03.
— We Strengthen
By providing transportation vehicles to the organizations, we help the Veterans in their care get to doctor’s appointments, go shopping, go to events, and enjoy freedoms most of us take for granted. We give them strength and hope.
